Local Pop focuses on the Columbus, Ohio music scene and airs every Wednesday night on WCRS, Columbus Community Radio. We do regular podcasts which feature interviews with local and regional bands and musicians. We also have guest d.j.s and live, in-studio performances from time to time. You can stream any of the latest shows from the built-in player, and more information about each show is below.
Blubrry.com has a nifty little player for streaming the podcasts. It allows you to fast-forward and rewind, which is something you can't do with the player above. It'll pop-up in a separate window when you click here.
For those of you who do the podcast feed subscription thing, here are a number of different options for you:

I realize that Stay Awake has been out for a year, and you probably already have a copy, but I've got two copies now, thanks to the Times New Viking goodie package that arrived in the mail yesterday. So I thought I'd give one away to the first caller when I say the word tonight on WCRS. Listen to 102.1 or 98.3 here in Columbus or online at www.wcrsfm.org. The number to call is 614-219-9277 ( 219-WCRS ).
Also, in a further effort to confuse my listeners and alienate my audience, I've renamed the show to "Local Pop". Not a great name, but it's at least more descriptive than "pat radio". This will also afford me the opportunity to turn the mic over to other folks who want to interview bands or host segments of the show. That will be happening soon, I think, and if it sounds like something you would like to do, let me know. Finally, tonight's show will be available for download on WCRS's website. Probably at this link. I've been making the distinction that shows without guests aren't really podcasts, but I figure folks still might want to hear them. So generic "radio shows" will be at wcrsfm.org, and shows with guests or exclusive content will be here.

If you prefer lossless audio and can stick around for a longer download, click on the aiff bundle.
Rodeo Ruby Love is a band from Marion, Indiana. Last year they released a full-length cd entitled Rodeo Ruby Love Vs. The Great American Cities. Band leader Zack Melton says of their music, "I like the complexities and paradoxes of writing fun, catchy music with heartbreaking words." That paradox rings true on "Small House in the City", which you can find below.
Rodeo Ruby Love will be coming to our great American city this Sunday, appearing at the Treehouse with Traveling By Sea and local spazz-popsters This is My Suitcase.
